Ishqbaaaz is an Indian Drama Television Series which is broadcast on Star Plus . It premiered on 27th June 2016 and airs Monday to Friday at 10:00PM IST. Nakuul Mehta , Kunal Jaisingh , Leenesh Mattoo respectively portray Shivaay ,Omkara and Rudra, the three heirs of the Oberoi Family. The Show Initially Focused on the tale of three brothers, later becomes centered on the love story of Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) and Annika(Surbhi Chandna) ; with the story of Omkara and Rudra shifted to the India’s first spinoff series Dil Boley Oberoi. Ishqbaaaz broke the norms and stereo types of the society. Shivaay whose only belief was of NKK( Naam Khoon Khandan) feel in love with a girl(Annika) who has neither of these three things . She doesn’t knew who was her parents , in the name of family she has only a brother named Sahil whose parents had adopted Annika in the past. She didn’t care what anyone said of her , she is strong enough to face the society and everyone . Yes she is Annika only Annika who don’t need a surname to survive . The courageous , bold and strong character Annika is played by none other than our Surbhi Chandna. She does an awesome job and portray Annika so beautifully that no-one could do else than her except her in bringing Annika’s emotion onscreen. Ishqbaaaz is currently the best show on Indian Television because of the sheer amount of hard work and dedication that each and every team member puts in it . The lead pair in Ishqbaaaz which is played by Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna are doing outstanding job. Every member is doing a marvelous job in the show. Hence , this magazine is one among our ways of acknowledging and admiring the hard work of whole cast and crew who made this beautiful show. Thanks for giving us Ishqbaaaz… A show which has the power to change the mindset of many. We hope that the Ishqbaaaz viewers will accept our “The Shivika Magazine” as a token of love. It will consist of various articles , fan edits , fan messages , etc.
PREFACE


While both of them have embraced their life they both had tragedy overshadowed in their lives, but destiny played a big role in their lives and made them together forever. They tried to endorse the idea of LOVE in the name of Respect, Trust, Empathy and Compassion. She couldn’t hate him for being how ruthless he is and he couldn’t hate her for being for she belonging to Middle Class anymore. She doesn’t know how he did it and she doesn’t know how she did it. But both felt gratified and warm with each other. Complementing each other, they were competing in achieving their goals to craft a more complex relationship between them. Now their hearts are one. Having caught a glimpse of another’s loneliness they were into a puzzle within many unsolved puzzles. They could neither learn nor practice nor let out their feelings away and ragging war among their equations. Every times they come close their relationship gets oh-so intimate from oh-so complicated and their epic contemporary romance. They both knows that nothing and no-one can come between of their attraction. While the actual definition of chemistry, its components and manifestations are fairly vague. Some fans describe their chemistry as “like cookie dough and vanilla ice cream”. Shivika has full trust for each other , their scintillating chemistry , their sensors that their other half is there  and mutual understanding.

Ishqbaaaz is unsurpassed phenomenal show in Indian History ever! 
Absolutely the best hate-love story par excellence which is centered on “THE OBEROI” family test by betrayal and torn apart revenge initially but from time  to  time it became a lovely family again . 


The story is of three brothers who has different thinkings but their hearts are connected to each other . the elder heir of The Oberois’ i.e. Shivaay Singh Oberoi who initially loved business of The Oberoi Family and his two brothers , the younger heir of The Oberois’ i.e. Omkara Singh Oberoi for whom his statues understood him more than anyone else in the family and the youngest heir of The Oberois’ i.e. Rudra Singh Oberoi whose everyday mornings starts at college , evenings at Gym and nights at any party , he doesn’t have any time . Shakti Singh Oberoi (who is the father of Shivaay) is younger from his big brother Tej Singh Oberoi , i.e. why he didn’t get the chairmanship of THE OBEROI GROUP . As Shivaay is the eldest he is ought to get the Chairmanship of the family (according to his parents). According to the three Oberoi Brothers (known popularly as Obros) for them they mean everything , if they are together then its everything for them. They are Each Others important needs . They are the three phrases of a story .
One fine day Shivaay was getting married but his bride ran away and he appointed another girl to marry him just for one day Deal. But Annika freed her and make her run away from there . Shivaay caught her grip as he was fuming in anger and made her marry him forcefully , which Annika never wished (nor any girl wishes) . Before their marriage they had feelings for them but never composed themselves for it . Shivaay was having a big misunderstanding before him marrying her that’s why he was angry on her but as soon as his misunderstanding cleared he apologiesed several times and they accepted each other but never composed to each other still.

Daadi always said Shivaay will get a ‘TAKKAR KA PYAAR’ who will love him more than herself. They met yes they met , their first convo goes as :- Shivaay :- You got only my car to die ? Annika :- If I want to die , I will die in a middleclass style ,wont ever look at your car , huh. Shivaay :- Anyways your standard is down there at the road , here(pointing downwards) . Annika:- You’re pointing out at the gobar (says in mind) She picks it up and throws at Shivaay’s car anddddddd their Hate-love story started since then.


He is the most powerful businessman and is the eldest heir of The Oberoi’s . According to him in business, mind should be at first seat and heart at back seat. He loves his two younger brothers a lot and his sister . According to Daadi he will get his Takkar ka Pyaar , who will change his mind and get her fixed in his heart and he got her. He always believed in NaamKhoonKhandan. According to him if he will marry anyone she should have proper blood line , and name . He was guilty in marrying her forcefully as soon as the misunderstanding was cleared. He didn’t let any moment of impressing her and accepted her in front of the media without knowing her blood line and name . For him only she matters not from where she belongs and her blood line and name.
MEET THE CHARACTERS 
Who is she ? Well she has no surname. She doesn’t know who are her parents . She was bought up in a orphanage at childhood and the was adopted by a man who wasn’t rich and belonged to Middle Class family . Disbelieving Love , bearing the taunt of the society she was brought up from childhood and faced the world with her strong and bold nature .

Annika about Shivaay :- Why is he a stone-hearted person ? Why  doesn’t  he like lower class peoples ? Why ? He doesn’t believe in love but  is ready to marry someone just for profits in business?  She knows her Kaanji Aankhon Waala Bhaggad Billa loves irritating her who is always ready to save her in  any critical situation. Initially she didn’t trust him but in flow of time she started trusting him and he is her life now.
Shivaay about Annika :- We can’t say if she needs him or he needs her for himself , actually they both need each others for themselves. When it comes to Annika he always conflicts between his mind and heart. His heart wants to fall in love but his mind doesn’t agrees. According to him Annika has her own dictionary with names as she calls him like :- Bhaggad Billa , Billu Ji , Stone Singh Oberoi , Calculator Singh Oberoi , Tadibaaaz , Challu Cheez , Cheapde,  Chantomai etc. etc. etc. His Jhansi Ki Raani , his mad girl, she is his Annika. 
What is Shivika to each other?


DAADI
She is the eldest member in the Oberoi Empire . She loves her family. She always wanted The Oberoi family to be together always . She knows even though all are together at the same house but not together from hearts , her two sons are like staying at some another planet and her daughter in law too tells her late husband that her grand children will bring such wives who will have takkar ka pyaar and they will keep them together like now always and this family too. Now all her grandchildren are married and they are the best and keeps them together and the family too.
MEET THE CHARACTERS 
He is the 2nd heir of The Oberois . He is an artist who loves to make sketches , statues , he is more of a loveable guy and for perfect love and perfect marriages are only found at stories. His statues understands him more than anyone else and his brothers Shivaay and Rudra. If anyone wants to know him you got to understand his shayaris’ first. He once told to Shivaay “Ishq pe hoga yakeen ishq hojane k baad”. Omie is married to a woman whom she hates and due to some circumstances they had to marry but once when he will come to know his thinking about his wife (Gauri) he will surely love her .
OMKARA


Our Rudy boy , he is lovingly known as Rudy by everyone . For him his everyday is life , girls and lots of fun and advices his brothers to be like him. He loves to flirt with beautiful girls but as daadi says they will get takkar ka pyaar and completely different person then how they are. Someone is made for him too. 
RUDRA
So what if am I not the eldest son and I couldn’t get the chance of ruling the Oberoi Empire by having my chairmanship , my son Shivaay will do as he is the eldest of all the three and will take over the chairmanship from my elder brother .
JHANVI

I ruled over the Over Empire and I still do but I want my son Omkara to take my position but he won’t as he doesn’t like business and moreover he is interested in his god damn statues which are meaningless and a loss, one achieves nothing by being an artist.
Jhanvi ran away from her marriage just to be with the guy she loved - Tej  but like every relation has love, they have fights along too. She used to drink alcohol to forget her pain to the people who actually cares. She loves her kids.


PINKY
MEET THE CHARACTERS 
Pinky Singh Oberoi , wife of Shakti Singh Oberoi and Mother of Shivaay Singh Oberoi. I know what the fandom feels about her but would like to differ from them. She is a woman who has faced a lot in her life. She lost her baby and on the same day was forced to accept his husband’s love child and didn’t even get time to mourn her loss. She was not as educated and sophisticated like Jhanvi and was often humiliated by Tej and other family members for the same. She had clung on to Shivaay all this time. She never envied Tia as she knew Tia was never Shivaay’s love and was just a business deal. But when she saw Shivaay falling for Annika who was not as educated and sophisticated somewhat resembling her, she felt insecure. She knew Shivaay was all that she had. Thus she decided to punish Shivaay because she thought Shivaay has forgotten everything his mother had done for him whereas poor Shivaay is unaware of the entire truth. I feel empathy towards her because she thought she will be able to hold on to Shivaay like this but in the process of separating Annika from Shivaay she separated Shivaay from herself as well.


The youngest out of all the Oberoi’s, she is the “ Laadli “ of his three elder brothers and of the family. She is innocent, shy and a little too softie and whatever she says is the first and last thing for his brothers.

Harharaike I’m going to say how and what she is . She is the wife of Omkara who came like an angel in his life but whom he denied once. She is a complete package of an Indian wife who loves her hubby and prays for him. Gauri is also Annika's chutki who was separated from her jiji in her childhood.
Despite being a police officer by profession, she is very shy . She came into Rudy’s life lately but has put an impression in his heart like no other girl could do. She has a soft corner in her heart for him which she doesn’t want to show and hurt him.


THE NAFRATBAAAZ SISTERS

BAAAZ
Svetlana, Tia & Saumya has been brainwashed by their mother since childhood that the Oberois have murdered their dad which was proved untrue later on in the show.  Svetlana has always been after Tej, Tia has been planted for Shivaay & Saumya behind Rudra. Saumya who was shown as a positive character opposite Rudra later on was revealed as an antagonist. 
DAKSH
VEER
Both Daksh & Veer were first introduced as mysterious characters who later on became obsessed with Annika. Daksh kidnapped Annika after Shivaay married her as a revenge game. He was sent to jail after that. Veer however was sent by Svetlana after Shivika. He was also brainwashed that Oberois had destroyed his mother's life. He gets to know he is an Oberoi too. After many attempts of trying to break the family, he died in accident. The Nafratbaaaz sisters were sent to jail. 


Shivaay Singh Oberoi is the most stylish character onscreen. Calling him stylish is an understatement. Starting from the hair to the shoes everything is bang on. No doubt he looks stunning in those three piece suits but would love to see him in casuals as well. He sported a look in Denim and white shirt in one of the episodes after lapse and we all know how the fandom went gaga about it. Even the weirdest geometric prints look great on him. He is a stunner in traditional outfits as well. Thanks to Shivani Shirali our SSO’s very own Dolce and Gabbana who has managed to give him such elegant & smart looks which have done justice to this man’s character. When we are talking about SSO how can we miss out on the collection of shades. They are really cool and just add the right amount of hotness to his look.
Annika , well the first thing that comes to our mind when we take a look at her is she is a modern , confident , independent and no nonsense woman . And so is the way in which she carries herself.She has not draped herself in a piece of 9 yards immediately after her marriage like the “sanskari bahus”. Her costumes have a real contemporary look. Few of her looks have been really appreciated by viewers while some have been criticized a lot. But whatever she wears she carries it with confidence. I think that’s what style is all about. She looks equally amazing in the western as well as the traditional outfits. Her jewelleries are funky and the chaand bracelet is a real trend setter.
Shivika as a pair has always been color-coordinated at most occassions that took place in Oberoi Mansion. Be it weddings or parties, they have always complimented each other so well. And why wouldn't they? They are made for each other.

2 Years of Ishqbaaaz
Rougher than most interactions are between people, Shivaay and Annika met in conditions that seemed likely for them to will to never see the other's face again. Two years later, they cannot imagine of a day where such a thing could happen. Destiny places you near the one, with whom the stars have penned down your union already. But it is tough to assume they will ever say much, given the taadi that dwells in their hearts and overpowers their minds. A man who only scanned people for their names, bloodlines and family prestige. A woman who only saw people as who they were and nothing more. Annika had none of which mattered to Shivaay, and yet she was able to steal his heart. When they first met, truly Stone Singh Oberoi seemed to be a right name to describe him, but the Billu Ji we met later introduced us to Sweet Singh Oberoi. Their marriage too took place in unforeseen circumstances and backed by allegations in the heart. His heart was poisoned by his own malignant acquaintance. And she, she never got a chance to say anything for herself. Their union was uncalled for by all including them but when the truths began to reveal, the already blossoming feelings for each other, began to bubble again. Since then to date, the two have encountered and fought with both evils in the world and in the heart, but haven't let go off the other. They taught each other the meaning of love, and that is all that they have now. Who would've thought that two souls who seemed to have everything but were devoid of such feelings, would not only develop them but be changed by them too.


As individuals, the two have grown and evolved within each other's company, as if what life could not teach, their love has had them settle for. Shivaay truly regretted his ruthlessness in the beginning, but following that he is very
literally showered her with roses and love. Annika who has fought in her and with life all alone, now has someone always there, looking out for her. Stealing glances, kisses and hearts, the two not only sunk into their feelings completely, but have had us all harbor a fondness of them too. The show may have taken a turn to picture their story in a different world, where hardships have made their life's tough again, but once again, the two will unite, completely and forever. Such is the love of Shivika, eternal, and eternally beautiful. Their journey, the obstacles they shall face, all is to continue for long, but their tale shall always standout amongst all for its very nature of progression. The two may have turned away, but never turned back, and have only come back together, stronger than ever before.

Maimoon - This magazine has been a combined effort from us to the whole cast of Ishqbaaaz who has wholeheartedly entertained us for more than 2 years now. I remember waiting for IB over a year & was thrilled when it was finally aired. The plot of this show had attracted me where they showed 3 love stories in parallel. The love for family, brotherhood & relationships are so emotionally portrayed. On a personal level IB has given me an opportunity to make many new friends over social media. Anamika - Ishqbaaaz is a wonderful show which deserves all the success . I along with our two members and ,want to dedicate this to the whole cast and crew who works so hard to make Ishqbaaaz the best in everything.
